JioID is the most secure and easiest way to Login to any App or Portal,
authorize transactions digitally using your
mobile phone. With JioID you will not need to remember the specific user id and password for each portal, you can simply
link your JioID with each app or portal and start using your JioID for Login or approving transactions.
You can use JioID to Login to any app or portal and approve or authorise
transactions. When you link your JioID with any app or Portal then you will no longer need to remember the specific
Userid and password for each app or portal respectively.
JioID uses a highly secure patented technology wherein your passwords or
PINs are not stored anywhere and it cannot be hacked. So even if you lose your JioID mobile phone, no one will be able to
use the JioID as it requires the PIN1 and PIN2 to use your JioID which are known only to you. However, you need to always
keep your PINs safe by not writing it down anywhere and not disclosing it with anyone.
Your PIN 1 and PIN 2 are not stored anywhere so they cannot be hacked. However, never share your pins with anyone.
Currently you can start using the JioID with Reliance ESS application.
Shortly you will be able to use the JioID, with all the Reliance apps or portals. In future you will be able to use the JioID
with any app or portals.
JioID is a digital identity product and it guarantees uniqueness with your
Aadhaar card and your Video so that a person cannot create two JioIDs.
It is mandatory to accept the T&C's of the application.
JioID is currently available for Android devices and iOS devices only. We are
working towards making JioID available for JioPhone as well.
You need to install JioID application available on Android App store or Apple
Play Store and sign up/create your JioID on your mobile phone. You will be guided through step-by-step process on the app.
Please not that during sign-up process you will need to take pictures of your Aadhaar card and record your 20 second live
video to create your JioID.
Currently JioID creation can be done only with Aadhaar card. In future if
other documents are made available then you will be notified.
The OTP will be auto-fetched by the app. If not auto-fetched you can check
messages on your mobile. In case unable to receive messages, then you need to check if SMS permissions are allowed for JioID
app through your Settings tab.
OTP is sent to the registered mobile number to guarantee that it is a
verified user behind that device. If you enter wrong OTP more than 3 times in a row: You will have to start the JioID signup
process again.
While using JioID you will need the 4-digit PIN 1 to Authenticate i.e.
logging in to an App or portal and 6-Digit PIN 2 to approve transactions.
One person can create only one JioID using their Aadhaar card and 20 second
video.
You can use your existing JioID account on another phone by installing JioID
app and selecting "Log in" instead of "Create account". You need your first phone with active JioID and connected with
internet to approve the JioID duplication on the 2nd phone.
You cannot create two JioID as one person can create only one JioID using
your Aadhaar card.
You can have only one JioID account on one mobile number.
JioID activation is completed within 24 hours latest. If there is any issue
in the document uploaded or the video, then it will not get activated or will be rejected. You can send an email at
JioIDCare@Jio.com with your complaint.
JioID can be created by using only Aadhaar card as of now. In future when
other documents options are available, you may create your JioID.
You can create a JioID with any valid 10-digit mobile number from any
operator.
Changing the mobile number connected to JioID is currently not available, but
we are constantly developing new features and changing the number will be available soon.

After you have created your JioID, you will need to Link your JioID with the
userid of the respective app or portal by choosing "Login using JioID" option on the respective App portal. You will need to
enter your Userid and Password of the respective app or portal for the first time. Afterwards you can simply login with your
JioID and enter the PIN1 in your JioID app on your mobile.
JioID is being integrated with apps or portals, if it is available for usage
with the respective app or portal you will see the Login with JioID option on the login screen.
It is a secure process to ensure that the transaction is being performed by
the same person.
If you select wrong secure image, you will have to restart the session again.
You will have to enter the PIN 1 again. If you enter wrong PINs 3 times in a
row your JioID account will be for 3 hours and you will not be able to log in or approve transactions using JioID during that
time. After 3 hours you can start using the JioID again.
You will have to enter the PIN 2 again. If you enter wrong PINs 3 times in a
row your JioID account will be locked for 3 hours and you will not be able to log in or approve transactions using JioID
during that time. After 3 hours you can start using the JioID again.
To protect your identity, if wrong PINs are entered for 3 times in a row then
your JioID will get locked first for 3 hours. After 3 hours has passed you can use JioID again, but if you enter wrong PINs
again then JioID will be locked for 24 hours and you will not be able to use JioID during that time. If you can’t remember
your PINs to enter them after 24-hour lock you will need to recover your JioID. You can find recovery process in your JioID
app and it is the same process as signup.
Currently it is not possible to change your PINs. We are constantly improving
the features of JioID and changing PINs will be available soon. If you have forgotten your PINs you have to go through a
JioID recovery process. You can find recovery process in your JioID app and it is the same process as signup.
You must change both the PINs at same time as we are generating the
signatures for PIN 1 and PIN 2. You cannot change a single PIN.
You can perform the recovery process and recreate your new PINs. You can find
recovery process in your JioID app and it is the same process as signup.
You can recover your JioID even if you lose your mobile phone, however you
will need to use the same mobile number that you used to create your JioID. You can simply do a SIM replacement for the lost
SIM card and recover your JioID by installing the JioID app and submitting your same Aadhaar card pictures that you used to
create the JioID earlier and recording and uploading your fresh video again.
Yes, you can simply install the JioID app on the new phone and can approve
the JioID log in on new phone by approving the same from your old phone. If after logging in to JioID on your new phone you
don’t want to use JioID on the old phone anymore, simply uninstall the JioID app from old phone.
JioID provides you a secure way to authenticate yourself and authorize a
transaction on any app/portal. If you do not want to use it anymore, you can deactivate your JioID by deleting your ID.
You may have activated device administrator. Please disable device
Administrator before you uninstall JioID. You could enter setting menu of your phone, find device administrator and close
JioID, then find app manager from where you can uninstall it.
